Laser Hair Removal – The End Result

One of the most requested blog posts I have gotten from my readers is about my results of my Laser Hair Removal which I started early last year… I suppose the fact that I was so honest about the prep work & the first few sessions & then time just ran away with itself & I haven’t gotten around to it but here goes.

As I shared previously I booked 3 areas to be done, underarms, bikini area & half legs. I must be honest, Brown Cow recommended sessions 4 weeks apart and on most occasions, I left a much longer period of time in-between appointments. Maybe that’s to blame for my results… I’m going to breakdown the results into the areas as I think they are all at different stages of success.

Underarms – I would say my underarm hair growth has reduced by 60%. The 40% that is still rearing it’s ugly head, on a positive note, the growth is at slower rate. I can wait 5-7 days in between shaving.

Legs – Probably the most disappointing of all areas – 35-40% of hair is gone, now that Summer is here, I would need to shave a couple of times a week (should we get any nice weather!)

Bikini area – This is would be my best area for results, 75% hair free…

Me with my protective glasses on before a treatment!

I had prepaid for a course of 6 sessions; after being disappointed with the results, I was offered 2 additional sessions free of charge from Brown Cow when I expressed my disappointment. I have availed one of these and as I didn’t notice any results, I have not booked in for 8th session.

And I’m left, *exhale* disappointed & still a little too hairy for my liking ;) I have the best skin / hair type for Laser treatment. Pale skin, dark hair but results are not as I hoped.

Not only is it expensive, but it’s not exactly the most pleasant treatment to undergo. Brown Cow now offer a pay as you go Laser treatment, which if I was still seeing results would interest me for the areas with good success but as I didn’t find any improvement after my recent 7th session maybe it’s time to call it a day & get back to waxing!

I spent my birthday gifts for 2011 on this hair removal treatment and the results are not going enough for me to recommend the treatment :(

Has anyone tried the home Laser Hair Removal products? How have you got on? I can see the benefits of the privacy in your own home and no need to make appointments. And the price of the machine like TRIA Beauty Home laser hair removal would be nearly equivalent to one area in a salon.

Have you done Laser Hair Removal treatments at home or in a salon? Are you happy with results?
